Ford Performance and Ford Australia are proud to present a mini-documentary that recounts our incredible battle for victory at the 2024 Finke Desert Race. The 13-minute video is a behind the scenes look at what it took to win the Production 4WD class at Australia’s toughest off-road race two years in a row. The full video is on YouTube here: https://lnkd.in/g8xSN5Vy Ford's class win at the 2024 Finke Desert Race completed a trifecta for the Australian developed and engineered Ranger Raptor, which also claimed first place in its class at the 2023 Finke Desert Race and 2022 Baja 1000. It wasn’t all smooth sailing though, with this year’s victory at Finke the toughest yet for the Ranger Raptor. The team had to overcome stiffer competition as well as a gruelling Finke track that pushed both driver and machine to the absolute limit. Special congratulations to everyone from Ford Australia who was involved in the racing effort. Not only were they able to bring home some extra silverware for the Ranger’s already crowded trophy cabinet, but they proudly showed the world exactly why the Ranger Raptor is an apex predator in its class. Ford employees from our hard working Product Development team were on the ground at Finke working on the racing program, and they have already taken lessons from the gruelling event and started implementing it for future products that will be available in a Ford showroom in the future. Watch the full video to find out how it all played out in the desert: https://lnkd.in/g8xSN5Vy

Hear his key considerations and get his insights and tips for how to get started. If your business is wondering whether you could start going electric, this is one for you. To celebrate all caregivers this Mother’s Day, we caught up with Ford Australia employee Kimberley Tsolakis.    What is your role? I am currently a Senior Program Coordinator (Ranger and Everest). The role includes working with stakeholders both in Australia and internationally, alongside Program Management and Product Development teams. Essentially, I lead the overall coordination of program timing, program status to delivery and program milestone approvals.   How long have you been with Ford? I have been with Ford since 2005, starting as a student, moving into various roles across this business, which included some higher education study and maternity leave (x2) and now here I am as the Senior Program Coordinator (Ranger and Everest).   How does Ford facilitate work/life balance from around the business? Ford Australia facilitate work/life balance now more than ever! Whether it’s from home or in the office, the way in which we work is quite flexible. Thankfully, I feel that our management understands that everyone has their own personal commitments. In my case, I work part time 4 days a week and in those days, I am still able to support my children’s school and after-school activities while delivering in my role at Ford.   What advice would you have for any new caregivers joining the workforce? My advice for caregivers joining or re-entering the workforce is to be transparent with the business on your personal commitments. This will help the business understand and adjust workload when/if required. I found that sharing responsibilities, experiences, challenges, and decisions faced by caregivers was also really helpful.   At Ford we understand that Mother's Day can be a difficult time for those who have experienced loss or are estranged from their mothers and offer resources or support for those who may find this day challenging.

A proud moment for our Ford Australia team and particularly for Ford Employees with Diverse Ability (FEDA), our employee resource group that represents people with diverse abilities…   After several years of focused work, Ford Australia has been announced a finalist in the 2024 Disability Confidence Awards. We’ve been on a journey to learn and take action to improve the lives of Ford people living with disabilities. This includes hosting education sessions, improving our work policies to support Ford people living with or caring for relatives with a disability, making our recruitment processes more inclusive and flexible, and appointing social enterprise GenU to run our onsite cafeterias so we can give work opportunities to local people with disability.   We still have a lot of work to do but today is a great moment to reflect on and celebrate our progress.
