I am the eldest of four siblings and we were always outside, running in the hills or chasing each other in the forest. Objectively, running in today’s world is ridiculous. We are supposedly highly evolved, and what do we do for fun? We run. We choose to run as if still chased by wolves or debt collectors. But I’ve always found running oddly satisfying, as a sweaty, hindbrain form of self-discovery. It’s my antidote to stagnation and, in my otherwise disorganised mind."
