The team at Financial Standard is delighted to be a finalist in the inaugural Impact Awards by Activam Group, and we'd love your support. Financial Standard has been nominated for Financial Services Publication of the Year, an award that recognises a "publication or adviser information medium that consistently delivers insightful, educational, and topical content." "It means a great deal to the team and I to be recognised in this way. Each day we strive to bring our readers something different and to be a source of balanced and trusted information, even if only to provide a conversation starter for their next meeting," managing editor Jamie Williamson said. For more than four decades, Greg Bright was instrumental in shaping Australia's financial trade media industry. He was undoubtedly the best in the business and served as a mentor, whether he knew it or not, to many over the years. While more recently he was a competitor to Financial Standard, he was also one of its biggest supporters. And even though it may be one of the (very) few titles he isn't responsible for, he left his mark on it all the same - attending our events, engaging with the editorial team, and just generally being a friend. He will be missed.
