Enigma Media’s executive director, Sally Lawrence, spoke to AdNews Australia after attending the Nine Upfronts yesterday. Sally said there were three main agenda points that Nine wanted to hammer home: TV is not in decline (Nine had growth in all aspects of TV last year), they can reach a young audience, namely Millennials and Gen X, and that they drive business results.

Our Media General Manager, Amy Dascanio, shared insights in a recent AdNews Australia article, commenting on how major events like the Olympics drive revenue for media owners by allowing brands to connect during key cultural moments. She emphasised that shifting consumer behaviour is pushing brands to be more strategic with ad spend, especially in a tight budget environment. Amy also highlighted the success we have seen with digital out-of-home (DOOH) through a cross-channel approach that integrates with clients' digital ecosystems. We thought it was pretty ordinary that King Charles decided to skip the Sunshine State on his royal tour. So, along with our new friends at SportsPick, part of Entain Australia & New Zealand / Entain Venues, we’re encouraging Queenslanders to take advantage of their ability to substitute a public holiday and swap this Monday’s King’s Birthday public holiday on October 7th for a more fitting tribute: Wally Lewis’s birthday in December. Come on QLD, get involved at therealking.com.au

Our Head of Data and Technology, Antonio Panuccio, shared his perspective in a recent AdNews Australia article on the delayed Privacy Act reforms, which may not pass until 2025, following an already lengthy process. Antonio expressed disappointment with the delay and acknowledged that the current Privacy Act is outdated and insufficient in addressing today’s digital landscape. He highlighted that reforms should tackle issues beyond advertising, with parliament action required to ensure this is a ‘real’ issue in boardrooms rather than just a speculative one. Check out the full article.

Last night Sally Lawrence, Executive Director, Media and Amy Dascanio, GM, Media attended the Ooh! 2025 upfront event. It was a great way to kick off to upfronts season. We love outdoor and one statement that resonated with us from the night was around outdoor being so effective because it is the only channel where it doesn’t interrupt the content; it is the content! Check out the link below for Sally's comments to AdNews Australia on the event and what’s to come from Ooh! in 2025. https://bit.ly/47dMEHC Sally Lawrence, Amy Dascanio, Chris Roots, Cassandra Agnew, ooh Media
