DRIVING INNOVATION IN SAFETY: We’re promoting safe driving around worksites with the help of a clever safety initiative spearheaded by our Emergency Services Officer Nick Souris. After recognising that our operations often intersect with traffic, and that many powerlines and cables within our Endeavour Energy (NSW) network run alongside or within roadways, Nick suggested using the hazard alert feature in the popular Waze navigation app to keep drivers informed about our operations while on their journey. To bring Nick’s vision to life, we developed an integration with our CLICK work scheduling platform to flag all tasks near roads as hazards in Waze. As a result, motorists using the Waze app receive hazard alerts as they approach our worksites, encouraging safer driving and enhancing the safety of our teams. Congratulations Nick on your innovative thinking and commitment to driving progress in workplace safety! #Safety #Innovation #PowerTogether Cheryl Bart, Guy Chalkley, Leanne Pickering, Francoise Merit GAICD FCPA, Melissa Irwin, Andrew Pitman, Colin Crisafulli, David Campbell, Edmund Li, Sean Brady, Troy Cooper

About us
Endeavour Energy is a safety focused and customer-centred business determined to be the best performing network in Australia. Our people take great pride in being of service to our communities by efficiently distributing electricity to our customers in a way that is safe, reliable and sustainable. We manage a $6.2 billion electricity distribution network serving more than a million connected customers, or 2.4 million people, living and working across 24,800 square kilometres in Sydney’s Greater West, the Blue Mountains, the Southern Highlands, Illawarra and the South Coast of NSW. Our network powers Australia’s third largest economy, and includes Sydney’s North West and South West Priority Growth Centres, established in 2005 to house 500,000 new residents over 30 years in suburbs similar in size to Wollongong and Canberra. The region is also home to Sydney’s proposed second airport. We’re owned by an Australian-led consortium of institutional investors with world class experience in investing and managing regulated utilities across the globe. The consortium has a clear objective to create long-term value by efficiently investing in Endeavour Energy’s assets to improve safety and customer outcomes. The consortium acquired 50.4% ownership of the rights to manage Endeavour Energy’s network assets under a 99 year lease in June 2017. It’s led by Macquarie Infrastructure and Real Assets (MIRA), and includes AMP Capital, British Columbia Investment Management Corporation and Qatar Investment Authority. The NSW Government retains a 49.6% interest and continues to licence safety and reliability.

IN THE NEWS: It’s great to see our Powering Communities grants recipient featured on Seven Network showing how we’re supporting our community where it’s needed most. Through the program we were able to help Richmond Riding for the Disabled keep their facilities open after constant flooding had them on the verge of shutting down. Thanks to the grant, this dedicated voluntary organisation was able to install a rainwater reuse system to reduce localised flooding and increase the use of their facilities, getting their clients back in the saddle with smiles on their faces. Rebecca Hill says Endeavour Energy (NSW) is looking to power together with the community to deliver programs that matter. “We launched our Powering Communities grants program so we can make a lasting impact at a local level where it is really needed.” If you want to make a meaningful impact in your community, consider applying for our Powering Communities grants program with applications closing Sunday 20 October >> https://lnkd.in/gprBQB8s A huge thank you to Grace Fitzgibbon and Seven Network for highlighting our efforts to help communities thrive and make sure no one is left behind. #PowerTogether #PoweringCommunities #Energy Cheryl Bart, Guy Chalkley, Leanne Pickering, Francoise Merit GAICD FCPA, Melissa Irwin, Andrew Pitman, Colin Crisafulli, David Campbell, Vida Cheeseman

A BRIGHTER, MORE SUSTAINABLE FUTURE: We’re thrilled to have achieved a five-star rating in the Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark (GRESB) for the fourth consecutive year, with our highest score yet of 98/100. This places us third among 11 electricity distribution companies globally and seventh out of 119 public-private partnerships, demonstrating continued improvement up from 17th last year. Welcoming the results, our Chief Data, People and Sustainability Officer Melissa Irwin said “Sustainability isn’t just a commitment, it’s sits at the heart of our organisational strategy to decarbonise the grid, and is integrated into everything we do.” Endeavour Energy (NSW) is committed to be net zero by 2040, zero waste to landfill by 2030 and nature positive by 2025. “By using the GRESB framework, we continually challenge ourselves to enhance sustainability practices while benchmarking our performance against utilities across the world,” Mel said. “The results of this year’s GRESB Assessments are a testament to the positive impact our focus on sustainability is having in paving the way for a brighter future for our customers and communities.” Read the full story >> https://lnkd.in/gQGRAjDP A huge thank you to our teams and partners for their invaluable contributions to this achievement! CUSTOMER CENTRED FOCUS: Our efforts to lead the shift towards a smarter, cleaner, and more customer-centric energy system is the centre of our sixth Energy Charter Disclosure Report released today. The report details our efforts towards better customer and community outcomes and provides a platform for us to stand up and be counted in demonstrating our purpose in powering communities for a brighter future. This year we’ve charted a course for the positive impact we believe Endeavour Energy (NSW) must have for our customers and communities to thrive by: • co-designing renewable energy solutions like our award-winning Bawley Point and Kioloa community • jointly funded the establishment of 80 community batteries with DCCEEW for customers to participate in the energy transition and reduce their energy costs • using drones for powerline inspections to improve efficiency and safety, reducing the impact on customers and livestock • using innovative technology to improve affordability, reliability, and sustainability through our pioneering digital substations and our self-healing FLISR technology. We thank our Peak Customer and Stakeholder Committee, our Customer Steer Co, and our Board for challenging us to innovate, to be bold, and to be better than we were yesterday. PROACTIVE PREPARATION: Summer in Australia isn’t all about sun, surf, and barbecues; it’s also a time for vigilance and proactive preparation. As we head into bushfire season, we’ve implemented a comprehensive community safety program across all areas of the Endeavour Energy (NSW) network to keep our customers safe and our network resilient. These activities include: • inspecting over 13,000 kilometres of powerlines and 170,000 poles to find and repair potential hazards in bushfire-prone areas • repairing damaged equipment and trimming vegetation a safe distance from powerlines • investing in network upgrades to replace bare powerlines with covered conductors and installing fire resistant poles • implementing new technologies like microgrids, community batteries, and early fault detection devices to keep communities safe and the network resilient. Keep an eye out for our public education campaign on how you can best be prepared for bushfire season.
