🥂 Endeavor Celebrates High Impact Entrepreneurship at our Annual Gala in New York 🎉 Last week, the Endeavor global network came together in New York City for an unforgettable few days of celebrating entrepreneurship and impact. The week began with Endeavor’s Managing Directors from 34 countries uniting to share insights for fostering high-impact entrepreneurship. This global gathering included representatives from Endeavor South Africa and showcased the power of collective action across markets—from Endeavor’s first office Endeavor Argentina to the newest Endeavor Ukraine. A highlight of the week was the Endeavor Gala 2024, where +500 entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders from +30 countries gathered under the theme, "HOME." This theme celebrated entrepreneurs who “GO BIG & GO HOME” - driving innovation across borders & reinvesting in their local ecosystems to inspire future generations. The evening also paid tribute to three remarkable entrepreneurs for their global contributions: Hande Cilingir, Co-founder of Insider. DataEQ’s banking sentiment indicator is out! 🏦 By analyzing over 3.3 million social media posts of unsolicited feedback about South Africa's banking industry from September 2023 to August 2024, their latest SA Banking Sentiment Index uncovers key trends: ● Discovery Limited Bank shines, leading with the highest Net Sentiment score across operational and reputational categories, thanks to its customer service, Vitality rewards, secure digital platforms, and card services! ● TymeBank comes top in reputation, ranking third overall and earning praise for strategic partnerships and educational initiatives that resonate with consumers. ● Industry Leadership: South Africa's banking industry boasts a Net Sentiment of 20%, maintaining its position as the most positively spoken-about industry in the country, despite a 4-point drop from 2023. ● Global Recognition: South Africa ranks #1 in banking sentiment among seven countries, outperforming Botswana, Kenya, and the UK. ● Challenges to Address: While banks are praised for innovation, customer service pain points persist, with over 60% of related conversations reflecting dissatisfaction.
