Working with Traditional Owners to provide future clean energy for all West Aussies 🤝 Horizon Power has signed its first Indigenous Land Use Agreement with the Nyul Nyul people of Beagle Bay in the Kimberley 🖋️ The regional energy provider will support the Kimberley’s transition to a clean energy future! We’ve enjoyed working with both groups to ensure the Beagle Bay Community can access more renewable energy in the years to come 👏

Know a high school grad? Maybe someone looking for a career change? 🎓 WA needs urban and regional planners to drive positive change for our neighbourhoods, towns and cities! 🏨 Check out the Planning Institute of Australia campaign for more info on how to Become a Planner ⬇️
🚀 We are thrilled to share with the profession that today PIA has launched a new campaign, Become A Planner. In an effort to respond to the national shortage of planners, the campaign is designed to lift awareness of planning as a career choice amongst high school students. The campaign highlights how great planning is, the opportunities it presents, and how you can become one. The central hub of the campaign is our new Become A Planner website. Have a peruse, take the quiz to find out what type of planner you could become (😉), and meet some of the fantastic planners who have already shared their stories with us 👉 https://lnkd.in/gqtGEqtP The campaign will span a range of platforms from targeted advertising campaigns both in the digital and traditional space to an increasing presence at careers fairs and in-school talks. 👀 Keep an eye out on how you can get involved. Become a Planner is a big priority for PIA over the months and years ahead, and will continue to evolve and grow as we develop more content. We’re thrilled to be launching to the profession today – and can’t wait to see where this takes us! #becomeaplanner #planningmatters

Congratulations to our own Adelyn Siew on being selected for the Public Sector Commission Women in Executive Leadership Initiative 👏 This initiative offers an opportunity for real-time, on-the-job learning, allowing participants to contribute to corporate decision-making and gain a holistic view of our interconnected business areas. As the Department’s new Director of the Corporate Governance Reform Project, Adelyn will build on the strong foundation laid by her predecessor, Sarah Woods, while bringing her own unique insights and connections to the table. Adelyn has more than 16 years of public sector experience, with a rich background in historic heritage conservation. Her leadership and expertise have been instrumental in guiding the Historic Heritage Conservation Directorate and supporting the Heritage Council of Western Australia (HCWA). The Women in Executive Leadership Initiative not only allows participants like Adelyn to advance their careers but also fosters valuable networking opportunities across the public sector!
