Meet Florence Shanks, one of the inspiring Little Telethon Stars for 2024! ✨ We had the privilege of speaking with her parents, Brendan—DevelopmentWA’s Financial Accountant—and his wife Roslyn, about Florence's journey. At just four years old, Florence has faced significant health challenges, including four open-heart surgeries due to a complex congenital heart condition. Her resilience and infectious joy remind us what it means to truly inspire. 🤗 We understand the importance of being able to balance family and work, especially when life can be challenging. We love to be able to support our people, helping them to be their best selves at home and in the office.

🚧 Subi East’s 1909 Precinct Sets the Stage for Future Development Opportunities 🌿 Western Australian contractor RJ Vincent has been awarded the contract to deliver essential civil and landscaping works at Subi East’s 1909 precinct – the former Princess Margaret Hospital site. With works having commenced in mid-September, this will establish the infrastructure backbone for up to 1,000 new dwellings across 6 development sites. The project scope includes the construction and connection of services and critical infrastructure such as new roads and footpaths that will enhance connectivity and unlock the site’s full potential for future development. This marks a major milestone in the site’s transformation and positions it as a premier development opportunity. 🏗️ Developers and industry leaders will be particularly interested in the precinct’s masterplan, which integrates new green spaces, heritage elements, and contemporary urban design to deliver a highly sought-after residential address on the edge of the CBD. As a key part of the larger Subi East redevelopment, 1909 will help reshape Subiaco’s eastern corridor into a vibrant, sustainable community that attracts new residents, businesses, and economic activity. With the broader Subi East project set to deliver over 2,700 new homes, there is significant potential for developers to contribute to the rejuvenation of one of Perth’s oldest and most iconic suburbs. 📅 Expected completion: Early 2026. Learn more about the PMH 1909 precinct below. https://lnkd.in/gKcpWh2q #UrbanRenewal #Subiaco #SubiEast #PropertyDevelopment #InfrastructureDevelopment #IndustryGrowth #WAProjects #DevelopmentOpportunity #SubiacoRejuvenation #PMH1909

🏆 Proud to win the International Association for Public Participation (IAP2) Australasia 2024 Core Values Awards in the Indigenous category for the ground-breaking Aboriginal Engagement to Empower Careers work at Subi East! 🏆 We are committed to embedding Aboriginal voices, history, and culture into our projects. The Bidi Trail at Subi East exemplifies this, where the Bidi is more than just a path — it's a cultural journey through Whadjuk Noongar history, art, and tradition. The project has been a true collaboration with the Noongar community through the Subi East Whadjuk Noongar Elders reference group, featuring the innovative Aboriginal Development Manager (ADM) program, developed to ensure Aboriginal voices and culture are at the heart of our work. We couldn’t have achieved this without the collaboration of our valued partners— Karrda, the Subi East Whadjuk Elders and Apparatus who helped bring this vision to life, together with OCULUS and UDLA. This award is a testament to the power of genuine collaboration and the impact of prioritising Aboriginal self-determination in placemaking. We appreciate all the hard work in creating communities that honour and celebrate Aboriginal culture and history. Thank you for making this groundbreaking project a reality.
