Today, across Country Road Group we are proud to celebrate Wear it Purple day, as part of our commitment to create an environment where diversity is championed, equity is lived and inclusion is the norm for everyone, everywhere. With a vision to be a catalyst for positive change, our employee resource group, House of Pride, led a range of activities connecting our team members and demonstrating our solidarity with rainbow youth.   Across our stores, omnichannel fulfilment centre and head office, team members showed their support in unique style, hosted ‘crafternoons’ and morning teas and took part in meaningful mindful activities. A big thank you to Andrew Georgiou from Pride in Diversity who visited our Support Centre and shared the importance of inclusive language.

Yesterday, Trenery had the pleasure of hosting an afternoon of wine tasting, food, and celebration for our Support Centre team, joined by Pt. Leo Estate's expert wine team. The event formed part of a broader collaboration between Trenery and Pt. Leo Estate, which has included a series of events, curated content, surprise gifts for customers, and an exclusive editorial campaign, beautifully captured in Pt. Leo Estate's renowned sculpture park. Paul Conti, Trenery’s Head of Marketing, shared, “We are immensely proud of our partnership with Pt Leo Estate. It represents the culmination of our aspirations for the Trenery brand—where our people, product, partners, and vision come together to create something that feels truly special.” Explore Trenery’s spring campaign at https://lnkd.in/eA7ck5dc

This month, Country Road proudly supported the National Indigenous Fashion Awards (NIFA) and Country to Couture for the fifth year running. Hosted in Darwin on Larrakia Country, each event is designed to showcase the diverse perspectives of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander artists and fashion designers. As part of the NIFA, we’d like to congratulate Gunggandji Yarrabah artist and designer Simone Arnol, winner of the 2024 Fashion Designer Award. Simone will embark on a 12-month industry mentorship with Country Road following her award win. This week, Country Road Group was honoured to host a special event at our Support Centre in recognition of NAIDOC Week, featuring the incredibly talented Samala Cronin, a Woopaburra, Butchulla woman, artist and founder of MumRed the label. Samala captivated us all with her live design demonstration in the Agora, showcasing traditional Aboriginal clothing techniques and sharing insights into her creative process. From hand-weaving with kangaroo sinew to natural dyeing of reeds, every moment provided enriching insights and deep connection to culture and craft. Our team members embraced the opportunity to learn and create, contributing pieces to a collaborative dress, guided by Samala, embodying the spirit of unity and cultural exchange that symbolised this year’s NAIDOC Week theme ‘Keep the Fire Burning! Blak, Loud and Proud’. Team members at our Omni Fulfilment Centre also embraced the power of art during NAIDOC Week, connecting with First Nations cultures by exploring the importance of sharing stories through drawing.
