Last week on Friday marked a major milestone in our technology-led supply chain innovation journey, with the official opening of our second Customer Fulfilment Centre (CFC) in New South Wales. Across Victoria and New South Wales, we have already delivered more than 120,000 orders, the equivalent of 5.5 million products, with our customers getting near perfect orders with zero substitutions. This is an incredible result for our customers, and a testament to the world-class Ocado technology. Tapping into the appetite for customers to create restaurant-quality meals at home, the CFC will house a range of specialty brands and local foods from smaller suppliers like Byron Bay Peanut Butter Company, who first started selling their product at local Byron Bay markets.   The extended product ranges also span the health and dietary, vitamin and baby categories – with a wider selection of brands and products designed to support the growing needs of customers.   You can learn more about the products exclusively stocked online and check if your suburb is covered by the CFCs by clicking here - https://lnkd.in/g7Rc7ZME Thinking about joining the CFC as a Customer Delivery Driver? Or know someone who wants to join? Click the link below to find out more - https://lnkd.in/gH76C3jq #ColesGroup #ProudlyColes #ColesCareers

Coles launched its $50 million Nurture Fund in 2015 to help Australian producers innovate and grow. In 2023, Indigenous-owned family business Walaja Raw Bush Honey received a Coles Nurture Fund grant of $330,000 to create a new, medicinal grade, premium Melaleuca honey that is sustainably made on Yawuru Country in the West Kimberley region of Western Australia. Walaja is a Karajarri word meaning ‘Honey’, given to them by Dianne’s late mother who is a direct descendant of both Karajarri & Yawuru parents. The honey is collected from the Roebuck Plains Station – an area covering 750,000 acres surrounding Broome that is owned and managed by the Yawuru Native Title Group – Nyamba Buru Yawuru Ltd.   The hives are cared for by the Appleby family who have proud Yawuru heritage and ensure the honey is 100% organic, natural, raw, unprocessed, unheated and contains no additives. Walaja owner and proud Yawuru elder Dianne Appleby hosted a week-long cultural immersion experience with Coles leaders in 2022. The immersion hosted on Yawuru country, provided an overview of Yawuru traditional hunting and gathering techniques, language, kinship and relationships to regional cultural groups, as well as the historical context of government policy and its impact on Indigenous people. Our Reconciliation Action Plan sets out our ambition to Win Together with First Nations peoples, communities, customers and suppliers. We’re incredibly proud to have been working with the Appleby family for a number of years and look forward to providing more opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations, communities and customers to engage with our business. This October, Coles team members are painting the town red for Redkite to support Australian families and children affected by childhood cancer. For the past 11 years, Coles has proudly spearheaded community-driven support for Redkite and has now inspired other brands to join the movement and magnify the challenges of families facing childhood cancer. From today until 29 October, Bickford's Australia’s will donate 10c to Redkite for every cordial and juice sold at Coles, while Coles’ ongoing 5c donation from specially marked Coles Own Brand Bread will be amplified in our stores. Monique Keighery, Redkite CEO said “When a child is diagnosed with cancer, it impacts the entire family, often in unexpected and hidden ways. By ‘Going Red’ this October, we can help ensure that more children and families receive the critical support they need during the most challenging time of their lives.” Since 2013, Coles has proudly raised more than $53 million for Redkite via donations on Coles Brand Bread and seasonal bakery products as well as team member fundraising initiatives such as fun runs, trivia nights and in-store bake sales. Funds raised have helped Redkite to provide a range of services to thousands of children and families during their toughest time. These include food vouchers, counselling sessions, music therapy programs and Redkite and Coles Dare to Dream Scholarships to assist teenagers who have or have had cancer achieve their goals and ambitions. Recently we opened a new store in Victoria which boasts the largest solar panel system of any Coles supermarket in the country. With a total of 565 panels, Coles Traralgon Village will have an estimated 24.4% of its energy needs met by renewable electricity generated on-site. This achievement puts Coles one step closer to reaching its 100% renewable electricity target by June 2025, and contributes to the Group’s target of installing solar panels on 100 stores as a part of the landmark agreement with Origin Energy. Indigenous Business Month is held in October each year, and calls upon First Nations business owners and their non-Indigenous allies, to gather and celebrate First Nations businesses, their stories, and ways of doing business. The 2024 theme ‘Making Our Mark’ aims to inspire the next generation of First Nations business leaders.   We have a proud history of working alongside innovative Indigenous suppliers – including Yaru Water Australia, Australia’s first Indigenous water company, since 2012.   Yaru Water is sourced and bottled from water that flows deep below the foothills of Mount Warning-Wollumbin, a culturally, spiritually and historically significant volcano in the heart of Bundjalung country.   Yaru is proudly ‘Supply Nation Certified’ and tells an important cultural story, while creating better health outcomes for Indigenous communities through its Yaru Foundation. While the product itself showcases a unique range of native flavours, the stories behind the Yaru Water also highlights the connection to country and the inspiration it provides.   Our Reconciliation Action Plan sets out our ambition to Win Together with First Nations peoples, communities, customers and suppliers. We’re incredibly proud that Yaru Water is one of more than 70 Indigenous businesses we are connected to through our supply chain and we remain focused on providing more opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, organisations, communities and customers to engage with our business. Queensland Murri Carnival 2024 bigger than ever!   More than 100 teams, 3,000 players and 200,000 spectators attended the week-long event, which uses Rugby League to promote healthy choices within the Queensland Indigenous community.    Coles Group proudly sponsored Deadly Choices and Arthur Beetson Foundation for the third year running, with donations of fruit and water. The Coles team also supported with volunteers from supermarkets, Services, Liquor and Distribution Centres, in the Elders tent, a space for Indigenous Elders to enjoy the community event.   The Indigenous Affairs team also hosted a careers booth on Thursday, providing information about career pathways at Coles for Indigenous youth. Our RAP outlines our ambition to win together with the Indigenous communities in which we operate and it’s great to see our partnerships continue to come to life! #ProudlyColes
