As we strive for Net Zero, there’s another essential goal we can’t overlook -becoming Nature Positive. Think of it as the equivalent of Net Zero, but for nature. It’s about not just minimizing harm, but actively regenerating ecosystems, restoring biodiversity, and making a positive impact on the natural world. At Clima, we believe businesses can play a pivotal role in reversing biodiversity loss by adopting a Nature Positive business model. Last night, Clima hosted a true ‘fireside chat’ at The Onset, discussing The Pathway to Net Zero with an incredible panel featuring Eliza van der Sman from OzHarvest, Jason Reason fromThinksideways, Mona Mashhadi Rajabi from University of Technology Sydney, and Bruno Giulio D'Andrea, moderated by Sofia Aguirre. The panel covered a broad range of topics, from the climate crisis to how Australia compares with Europe, and crucially, what the next steps need to be. One thing was clear: change must come through collaboration to ensure we meet our climate goals in time. Clima is thrilled to be partnering with Night at The Barracks for their 2024 event series at Manly’s North Head! This iconic open-air concert series, running from 13 September to 6 October, is committed to reducing its environmental footprint. Night at The Barracks has already made incredible strides by eliminating single-use plastics, utilizing solar energy, and offsetting carbon emissions.
