6-storey developments could be approved within an 800-metre radius of Camberwell Junction if the Victorian Government’s proposal for Camberwell goes ahead. If these proposals comply with standards specified by the state government, there will be no opportunity for residents or Council to stop the development from proceeding. The proposed 800-metre radius catchment area will extend from the edge of the Camberwell Junction commercial area, reaching streets as far from the junction as Barkers Road and Toorak Road, beyond Auburn Road and close to Riversdale and Willison Station. These changes will impact our leafy streets, heritage homes, public amenity and livelihood. Learn more and share your feedback on the Victorian Government’s plan by Sunday 29 September at https://lnkd.in/gXtFyi9t Want to learn more and get involved in the discussion? Join our community forum at Hawthorn Town Hall, 2pm Sunday 15 September.

The Victorian Government is proposing to almost double the number of dwellings in Boroondara by 2051. The state’s target for Boroondara of an extra 67,000 dwellings will require annual development levels at least 3 times higher than what we’ve seen over the last 10 years. Your opinion matters. Please let the Victorian Government know your views and whether you support or oppose the proposal. Find out more on our website and join our community forum - 2 pm this Sunday 15 September at Hawthorn Arts Centre. View details https://lnkd.in/gXtFyi9t
