Great minds think differently.

About us

Cerebral Palsy Alliance is a ground-breaking, global centre of expertise for cerebral palsy research, advocacy, intervention and assistive technology innovation. - We are world leaders in cerebral palsy research, and the world’s largest private funder of cerebral palsy research - Our research informs our world-class interventions and services which we provide across about 70 sites throughout metropolitan, regional and rural NSW and the ACT - Our global disability tech accelerator program, Remarkable, is unlocking the potential of technology to drive greater inclusion for people with disability - we connect inclusive start-ups with the capital, expertise and skills they need to succeed. - We use our influence to bring together communities in advocating for change. For over 75 years, we have been driven by our founders’ vision of a future where nothing is impossible for people with cerebral palsy and similar conditions. Together with our clients, the 17 million+ global cerebral palsy community, our 2500+ employees and 150,000+ donors, fundraisers and entrepreneurs, we are contributing to solving the next set of impossibilities. We believe that one person can have an idea, but it takes different skills and the knowledge of many people to make that idea a reality. This is what happens when great minds think differently.

"Cerebral palsy looks different for everyone but for all of us, our lives both orbit around those two little letters and are so much more... Without CP, who would I be? I don’t know, but she wouldn’t be me." We're still reflecting on a huge World Cerebral Palsy Day 2024 last weekend, and on the amazing stories shared by our community. The profound insights of friend of CPA - writer, actress and disability activist Hannah Diviney - on identity and the contradictions and complexities of cerebral palsy are essential reading. Head to Hannah's Instagram page, @hannahthewildflower, to read her full reflection on the meaning of World CP Day. #WorldCerebralPalsyDay #WorldCPDay2024 #UniquelyCP #cerebralpalsy

Huge news for the global cerebral palsy community, and an important breakthrough in representation. We are excited to have played a small role in ensuring that the #OutOfMyMind trailer was launched exclusively to people with cerebral palsy through World Cerebral Palsy Day 👇

Global exclusive - Out of My Mind trailer! World Cerebral Palsy Day has partnered with Disney+ Hotstar to give the global cerebral palsy community a sneak preview of #OutOfMyMind, a new film telling the story of a young girl with CP. The trailer launch comes just two days before World Cerebral Palsy Day 2024 #UniquelyCP on October 6, with the full film released on Disney+ on November 22. Out of My Mind stars newcomer Phoebe-Rae Taylor – an actress with lived experience of cerebral palsy - as Melody, a non-verbal wheelchair user who shows that what she has to say is more important than how she says it. Jennifer Aniston portrays Melody’s inner voice in an empathetic representation of the experience of non-verbal people with CP. Check out the trailer now - and don't forget to celebrate #WorldCerebralPalsyDay tomorrow! #UniquelyCP #WorldCPDay #WorldCPDay2024 #cerebralpalsy #OutOfMyMind Cerebral Palsy Alliance Cerebral Palsy Alliance Research Foundation
