Over the past few weeks, the Carman’s team has been out in the community again, dedicating our time and energy to support those in need. On July 24th, our crew rolled up their sleeves at Foodbank Victoria, sorting and packing produce and pantry staples into the equivalent of 23,558 meals for families in need. Then on August 7th, we joined forces to prepare 250 meals from rescued produce that might have otherwise gone to waste. With the help of The Big Umbrella team, we served these meals to our friends on the street at Fed Square in Melbourne. These experiences have been both lifechanging and heartwarming for us. Interacting with wonderful individuals and witnessing the positive impact of our efforts reinforces the profound difference a small amount of time and kindness can make. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to be part of an organization that supports and encourages such meaningful activities. Here’s to continuing to spread kindness and joy in our community!

🌟 Carman's Love What You Do Day: A Celebration of Belonging, Creativity, and Authenticity! 🌟   Last week we had our annual Love What You Do Day, and let me tell you, it was a rollercoaster of emotions, creativity, and pure awesomeness. 🎢✨   First up, our Belonging Badges! 🎖️ These little beauties were not just badges; they were badges of honour. Seeing everyone embrace this initiative and showcase their unique personalities was heartwarming. And no surprise that our "Foodie" badge was one of the most popular! (not to mention introvert and optimist!) 🌈💪   Next, the pièce de résistance – each team put together a 10-minute celebration of their achievements over the last 12 months. And boy, did they bring their A-game! 🎭 From Carman's catwalk fashion to circus skills to impressive in-house videos, the creativity was off the charts. It's incredible to see the passion and dedication our team has for what they do. 👏🔥   Then, we had the legendary Kirk Docker join us, hot off the launch of his new show "I was actually there" (a must watch!). 🧠 His session on having honest and authentic conversations was a game-changer. We would all love to create an environment where people feel safe to share their stories, like he facilitates on his shows, including "You can't ask that" 🙌💬   And last but certainly not least, the highlight of highlights – our Love Awards annual winner, Lana Davenport! 🌟🏆 Lana, your dedication, hard work, and infectious positivity are what make Carman's the fantastic place it is. You are a true superstar, and this recognition is so well deserved! 🎉🥇   To everyone at Carman's, thank you for making the day unforgettable. Recently the team at Carman’s donned our aprons and partnered with Eat Up Australia to whip up hundreds of cheese sandwiches for disadvantaged schoolchildren. It was a delightful and slightly chaotic assembly line of bread, cheese, and enthusiasm where we made a grand total of 2,469 cheese sandwiches that will brighten the days of kids who might otherwise go without a lunch. Big shoutout to everyone involved, and Carman’s will be continuing to rock the volunteer spirit over the coming months as we partner with other organisations to make a small difference in people’s lives. 

Today we had our very first Learning Festival at Carman’s – CARCHELLA! 🎉🥳 Picture this: an entire day packed with learning, laughter, and muesli bars! 🍫✨   We kicked off with the incredible Dara Simkin from Culture Hero, who took us on a seriously fun ride with "Adaptability at Play." Honestly, the energy in that room could've powered a small city! 💡⚡️ Dara had us thinking, moving, and adapting faster than you can say "agility." A few of us particularly enjoyed our time with the "Flower Crown"!   Then, our very own rockstar facilitators stepped up to the plate with sessions that were nothing short of legendary. This includes 🍴How to Make a Muesli Bar – because what’s a day at Carman’s without some hands-on snack action? Spoiler alert: It was DELICIOUS. 🗣️Assertiveness and Difficult Conversations – real talk, folks. Navigating those tricky conversations like a pro. 💻Excel – because we all need to be Excel-ninjas in the modern world. 💸Finance for Non-Finance People – demystifying the numbers game and making finance fun and accessible.   Huge shoutout to everyone who made this day unforgettable! The vibe, the enthusiasm, the snacks – pure magic. ✨ Can’t wait to see what we cook up next! ✨🎉 That's a Wrap on the Carman's Wellness Challenge! 🎉✨   Eight weeks ago, the brilliant Carman's crew set out on a supercharged wellness odyssey. Think less 'grit your teeth and get through it' and more 'wow, I feel good'. We tackled mental, physical, and social challenges, and let me just say: it's been nothing short of inspiring.   We meditated (hello zen!), sweated (in a fun way!), and bonded (team love!). Every challenge was a new chance to grow, laugh, and stretch—literally and metaphorically. Our team showed up with energy and enthusiasm that could light up a small village, proving that together, we're unstoppable.   But amidst this sea of wellness warriors, one team emerged victorious: "Rapid Thigh Movement". Their dedication, camaraderie, and relentless pursuit of wellness excellence got them to the top. From dawn workouts to sunset yoga sessions, they embodied the true spirit of the challenge, inspiring everyone around them.   And let's not forget our joint individual winners, Carolina and Janine. With their unwavering commitment and infectious positivity, they led by example, motivating teammates and themselves to push beyond limits and embrace the journey to better health. They both truly embody the essence of Carman's Wellness Challenge, and their victory is a testament to the power of determination and self-care.   Huge shoutouts and squeezes to everyone who joined in, cheered, and made this wellness challenge the highlight of our Carman's calendar.
