Cancer Council Queensland is delighted to announce the appointment of Adjunct Professor Alanna Geary FACN as a Director of the Board.   Alanna is the Chief Nursing and Midwifery Officer, Metro North Health, with oversight for approximately 10,000 nurses and has been a healthcare professional for 42 years. She is a Fellow of the Australian College of Nursing (ACN) and holds the title of Adjunct Professor from the The University of Queensland, QUT (Queensland University of Technology), Griffith University, Australian Catholic University, and the University of the Sunshine Coast.   Alanna is passionate about the role of healthcare professionals and ensuring patients and their families receive the best possible care.   Welcome Alanna!

A huge thank you to Griffith University for including us in the Griffith Careers Expo yesterday! We had a great time meeting and talking with students about the importance of volunteering and the positive impact they can have on Queenslander's impacted by cancer.
