Thanks to those that tuned in live to our recent Regional Renewable Organics webinar 🌱💻 The network is being developed in partnership with local councils and is proposed for our Black Rock Water Reclamation Plant in Connewarre. It will take organic waste from our region (like food scraps, garden clippings, biosolids and oversized green waste) and convert it into nutrient-rich soil products that enrich compost and soil and capture carbon for local agriculture as well as produce clean, green renewable energy ♻️ With more than 60 people attending the webinar, it was a great opportunity to hear from the community about the project. We’ve been working with local councils Golden Plains Shire Council, City of Greater Geelong, Surf Coast Shire Council, and Borough of Queenscliffe on an idea that would take our region’s organic waste (like food scraps and garden clippings) and convert it into nutrient-rich soil products for agriculture as well as clean, green renewable energy.
