We're excited to share that Australia Post is the Gold Winner of the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP)'s eCommerce Sustainable Packaging Award, for our Korvuu range of single and twin wine boxes, developed in partnership with Sealed Air Corporation. What this new wine box means for the environment: ✅ Reduces our dependency on virgin materials as the new Korvuu wine boxes contain at least 70% recycled content. ✅ Easy to recycle – the wine boxes are kerbside recyclable (there is no need to separate the insert film!) and eliminates the use of Polystyrene (a problematic and hard to recycle material). ✅ Packaging reduction of over 10 tonnes per annum when compared to the old bottle nest boxes. Today, Australia Post announced its 2024 financial year results, reporting a pre-tax loss of $88.5 million, compared to last year’s loss of $200.3 million. This improved performance is due to the implementation of the Post26 strategy and first phase reforms, which are focused on delivering a simplified and sustainable business while reducing costs and improving services. The structural decline of the Letters business remains, with letter volumes falling to a level we haven’t seen in Australia since the 1950’s, while our population has increased three-fold. We have more work to do to ensure Australia Post is sustainable and can deliver for communities for another 200 years.

Today we launched our new fleet of 175 state-of-the-art electric motorbikes which will be deployed across all states and territories🏍️📮 Manufactured by UBCO - Electric Utility Vehicles, these electric motorbikes set a new standard in sustainable delivery solutions, and will expand our capability to electrify routes that were previously challenging for three-wheeler EDVs to access.
