Thankyou Kristina – it was indeed a special day on Country with the Traditional Custodians of the area, the Gaangalu and Darumbal people. A day the Aula team will long cherish.
It’s great to witness the acknowledgment and Yadaba (respect) shown towards the Traditional Custodians of this area. We headed to Westwood, to the Boulder Creek Wind Farm office site to meet with the CEO of Aula Energy, board members, staff, and our cultural neighbours, the Gaangalu Cultural Heritage Field Officers. We gathered together for a Darumbal Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony before the major works start. The Boulder Creek Wind Farm is a large-scale onshore wind farm project with a capacity of up to 372 MW. It is situated 40 km southwest of Rockhampton and about 5 km west of Mount Morgan in central Queensland. Aula Energy is leading the development of this project, which is expected to feature around 60 wind turbines. These turbines will be located on Gaangalu Country, with access and infrastructure on Darumbal Nunthi. This project presents a significant opportunity for collaboration between the Darumbal and Gaangalu Nations. It offers a platform for mutual learning and education, allowing the Aula Energy team and contractors to engage with and learn from the local Indigenous communities. Additionally, the Boulder Creek Wind Farm will create Civil Traineeships for Darumbal people and provide contract opportunities for Darumbal Civil Company. Thank you to Harriet King for bringing us all together on this special day. Darumbal Enterprises Pty Ltd Kobe Watts Wade Mann

Certainly, a great couple of days on site thanks DTI!
A week at Boulder Creek! We joined our client, Aula Energy, in a visit to the site of Queensland’s newest wind farm, Boulder Creek, where we are currently undertaking ECI works. The site will soon be home to 38 wind turbines with a capacity of up to 228 MW. The team on-site also welcomed another visitor in the form of a small freshwater turtle, who had taken his chances crossing a local road! The leisurely traveller was escorted to the safety of a nearby creek. It’s great reminder about the importance of looking out for all members of our local community – big or small! An important milestone for Aula Energy and our Macquarie Asset Management renewable energy portfolio cousins. Aula Energy, Treaty Oak Clean Energy, Blueleaf Energy, Outer Dowsing Offshore Wind and Forlance to be acquired by the Macquarie Green Energy and Climate Opportunities Fund. That’s 17+ GW of green energy capacity in development, construction and operations across the globe. #renewableenergy #windpower #greeninvestment #energytransition https://lnkd.in/ghAJ_pwD

Aula Energy has today announced it has awarded the early works contract for the Boulder Creek Wind Farm in central Queensland to DT Infrastructure. CEO of Aula Energy, Chad Hymas, said the contract with DT Infrastructure is significant for the company and marks an important milestone for its most advanced project and Queensland’s newest wind farm. “This marks the beginning of what we hope will be a fruitful and long partnership between Aula Energy, DT Infrastructure and their parent company Gamuda Berhad,” he said. “I was thrilled to join Gamuda founder Dato Lin and senior executives in Kuala Lumpur to sign their first contract and cement our relationship,” he said. We welcome the Federal Government’s creation of the $2 billion South-East Asia Investment Financing Facility. It’s important recognition of the strong ties between Australia and our South-east Asian neighbours and how the transition to renewable energy demands collaboration across borders. #cleanenergy #energytraining #asean https://lnkd.in/gsAqKdta
