There's a saying that if you want to be a professional athlete, you have to act like a professional athlete. And it starts with an environment that replicates pro sport. Having a brand new shiny facility is one thing... But it ultimately comes down filling that facility with the things you need to go pro. That starts with other athletes all looking to achieve more in their sport… To build the competitive environment every athlete thrives on. Then adding expert coaches willing to go above and beyond for their athletes... To try and find the 1% that will give them a completive advantage over their opponents. What do these two key elements of any great facility lead to? Giving you, the athlete, tools to take into pro sport with you for life. And fore us, that's when we know we’ve made a real difference to someones athletic career. Does this sound like something you’re missing in your training? 2023 is officially half way over, don’t let another 6 months slip by waiting the perfect moment to start.

About us
Our Strength & Conditioning gym in Artarmon helps athletes find the answers to elite athleticism by bulletproofing their body and instilling the confidence they need to succeed. We live and breathe sports. It's what we love to talk about, be entertained by and see athletes succeed in. Our vision is to help athletes across the globe reach higher, achieve more and stay in love with the game for longer... because there is nothing else like the love of sport. While an athlete's goals may change, the pursuit of improved performance never ends. While an athlete's goals may change from season to season, there are two things that never will. The first constant is that every athlete wants to hold themselves to a higher standard. They want to raise the bar, push the boundaries and reach a level of performance they haven't had before. There is always the belief that you can reach higher and achieve more. The second is that they want to win. No athletes make the sacrifices they do so that they can turn up and lose. It's in every elite athlete's DNA. The desire to win is like oxygen for the soul. An athlete can't live without it. The only way to achieve this level of success is to develop a GamePlan unique to the individual. This GamePlan follows a simple philosophy that we turned into a training system: Minimise The Downside (Injury) While Pursuing The Upside (Performance). Whether you're an aspiring amateur or Australian Olympian, this system helps athletes at any point in their career reach a higher level of performance. With our system, you will develop a bulletproof body and mindset that is ready to succeed. Our system combines in-person coaching with virtual and mobile support so that every athlete who wants more, can achieve more. With our performance and rehabilitation programs, you'll always have expert guidance within reach.

Is stiffness always the answer? When we talk about getting athletes stiffer - their ability to interact with the ground ie joint/tendon stiffness, not mobility. Lachlan dives into why as coaches we are always flying close to the sun, we just don’t want to get burnt! #athletesauthority #successisateamsport #athletesauthorityeducation

Iso Leg Extensions are a go to in our prep blocks post ACLR. Here Justin Richardson is prescribing long duration iso holds, usually around the 40-45sec mark aiming to overcome arthrogenic muscle inhibition in early stage rehab. These are a great way to prep at the start of the session prior to hitting our key lifts. #athletesauthority #successisateamsport

Building the Switch with Alexandre Berger Here’s a great little clip from a recent session with some of the Olly Roo lads, building on some strong shapes. Alex dials in a few key cues: Snappy switching action (killing the cockroach under the foot) Building intensity throughout the reps Snap down with aggression Sometimes you don’t need a laundry list of cues, just some clear instructions for the athlete in front of you. #athletesauthority #successisateamsport

Alexandre Berger has been busy in his first week hitting the ground running with some of the Olyroo lads before they jet off to their respective overseas clubs. This session from Al provides great insights into the session structure, key outcomes and some different thoughts on conditioning training based on updated protocols. #athletesauthority #successisateamsport

Athletes - how do you know you’re actually improving your performance? The Isometric Mid Thigh Pull or IMTP component of the testing we are looking at maximal strength test or their peak vertical force. This is one of the tests we use when a new athlete starts to access their baseline measures and during our testing blocks. Because what gets measured, gets managed. Just because there’s more weight on the bar doesn’t necessarily mean you’re getting stronger for what matters most - your sport. Keen to learn more about our testing battery? If you're Sydney or Melbourne based, comment below and we’ll be in touch. #athletesauthority #successisateamsport

Who says fighters don’t lift (certainly not the PTJ crew) Traditionally in the combat or fight world S&C is a bit of an after thought or ebs and flows around camps. So as the best do, to perform different to the rest you have to do what the rest aren’t. And that’s exactly what Bee, Derek and Ibby did - plus they’ve got the belts to prove it! Listening to these 3 weapons, it’s pretty clear they have a clear understanding of how important their training plan is and how it fits into their year round schedule. It’s a huge effort from the entire team to make this happen - Andy and Anthony, we love having them part of the AA family.

Do you tend to bend your knees during Pogos? The key is to keep the entire system stiff to uptake slack in the lower body - especially through the ankle and calf. Each contact should have an element of timing and rhythm. Driving the cue of toes up ensures we get that pre-tension mentioned above for reactivity when the athlete makes contact with the ground. Simple doesn’t always mean easy! Denzel Jacinto #athletesauthority #successisateamsport
