The big banks are definitely having a lend… locking borrowers into a life sentence, charging them for sneezing, and giving 0% interest in treating customers like people. We know, we used to work for them. Enter Athena, the Game-Changing Goddess of Good Stuff. This announcement coincides with Athena’s second RMBS issuance this year under our Olympus deal, which priced today at a further $1B in debt funding. They required a loan with <20% deposit and approval within a few days due to the contract deadline. I told the broker we could help their customer provided we get a credit exception, but noticed that the broker was not accredited yet. Getting the broker accredited was our #1 priority. I escalated this and got the broker accredited within 24 hours. We then received an income exception from the Credit team, submitted the app, escalated it and got it approved - all within 48 hours!
