Being empowered to respond to cardiac arrest can give someone the greatest chance of survival. The ability for bystanders to complete the Chain of Survival means being able to provide every link in the chain of CALL PUSH SHOCK. So, when PUSH comes to SHOCK, how are you going to know where your nearest AED is? Download the Heart of the Nation app - a national database of AEDs, so you can find one near you if needed. Be sure to register your AED, or any that you see in the community at https://lnkd.in/gf9fv3k

The next 45 seconds could save someone you love. In 2020, our founder Greg Page experienced a sudden cardiac arrest—a moment that could have been his last. But thanks to a quick-thinking bystander who immediately started CPR and used an AED, he was given a second chance. Every single day, 70 Australians suffer a cardiac arrest, and not all of them get the help they need in time. Knowing where your closest AED is can be the difference between life and death. When push comes to shock, are you ready to act? Download the Heart of the Nation app today to find the nearest AED locations around you. A quick glance today might be the moment that helps save a life tomorrow. Together, let’s create a nation of lifesavers. Download the app via our bio link today. Stryker Philips

🎉 The much-awaited Revised Standards were released on 1st October 2024! 🎉 The new Standards for RTOs include: *Outcome Standards *Compliance Requirements *Credential Policy However, these documents are still marked as 'DRAFT' as final approval from Skills Ministers on the legislative instruments is expected in late 2024. Once the legislative instruments are enacted, the drafts will be finalised. To clarify, legislative instruments are regulations created under the authority of Ministers without the need for Parliament to pass new Acts. So, until this approval is received, these Standards remain in draft form. At Allens Training, we've been reviewing the draft versions for some time and are now shifting our focus to the final drafts released yesterday. We’ll be assessing how these updates impact our RTO and our valued partners. Stay tuned for updates as we navigate through the changes! 🔍 Key Implementation Dates: RTOs must fully implement the new Standards by 1st July 2025. Here's what we know so far regarding Trainers and Assessors: * No changes to the core requirements: * Trainers and assessors must still hold relevant qualifications and industry competencies and undertake professional development (PD) to stay current. What’s Changed? Individuals holding the 2010 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40110) will now be able to deliver training and assessment without needing to complete the two additional units introduced later (covering adult literacy/numeracy and assessment tool design). However, they will still be required to maintain their industry currency and undertake professional development. 🚀 Great Opportunity for Partners: This change addresses the ongoing skills shortage of VET trainers and assessors. It opens up opportunities for partners to recruit from the existing pool of trainers holding the TAE40110 qualification, allowing them to return to the workforce without needing additional upgrades—provided they stay current with industry practices and PD. As we continue to assess these developments, we’ll keep everyone informed. #VET #RTO #Training #ASQA #Standards2024 #VocationalEducation #ProfessionalDevelopment #AllensTraining

Allens Training RTO 90909 11244NAT - Course in Mental Health Support for First Responders This course has a ‘first responder’ focus and is suitable for people who want to understand mental health challenges and learn how to offer support. A first responder is associated with professional individuals with specialist emergency training. However, the first responder is often a bystander (someone like you and me), who provides the very first few minutes of support on an emergency scene.   This Nationally recognised course is uniquely tailored to provide comprehensive education on mental health, fostering resilience and offering practical strategies for managing the mental health impacts of crisis response. You will learn to recognise signs and symptoms of mental health concerns and respond effectively, providing crucial support until professional help is available.   https://lnkd.in/gnuJBDTy
