2024 AIDN BOARD ELECTIONS - CALL FOR NOMINATIONS NOW OPEN!
Dear Valued Members,
In accordance with the Constitution, the Australian Industry and Defence Network Limited (AIDN) is calling for nominations from financial members of AIDN to fill one of three (3) vacancies on the AIDN Board for a two-year term. The term of the current Board members will expire at the AIDN Annual General Meeting on Thursday, 21st November 2024.
The retiring directors are Mr Peter Freed (current Chair of the Advocacy and Policy Committee (APC)), Mr Alexander Robinson (current AIDN Treasurer), and Ms Sarah Cullens (current Non-executive Director).
AIDN is seeking nominations from members in the following States and Territories:
+ Australian Capital Territory
+ New South Wales
+ Northern Territory
+ South Australia
+ Tasmania
+ Victoria
+Western Australia
Due to the provisions of the AIDN Constitution (clause 41.6), we are unable to accept nominations from Queensland, as the existing Board members occupying these seats will continue their term for the 2024-25 period.
ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To be eligible for election as a director of AIDN, candidates must:
+ be a member of AIDN, or a representative of a member of AIDN (appointed under clause 26)
+ be endorsed by two (2) members of the Association (noting that only 1 member per company may endorse the nomination)
+ not currently be a Director and have not held such a position for two years
+ give AIDN their signed consent to act as a director of AIDN, and
+ not be ineligible to be a director under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
Current Board members can renominate under rule 43.3 of the AIDN Constitution.
In addition to the above, all membership fees must be up to date. Please note that Associate and Patron members are ineligible to nominate.
Members considering a nomination are encouraged to familiarise themselves with the duties imposed on directors by general law, AIDN’s Constitution and the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth).
HOW TO NOMINATE
Nominations will only be accepted using the AIDN nomination form below. Nominees are invited to submit a Statement of Support detailing their experience and qualifications.
Nominations close at midnight on Monday, 21st October 2024.

You are required to review all information in the AIDN Director Nomination and Due Diligence Pack before completing your nomination.
