We are delighted to welcome Principal Consultant, Antoniett Halden from the School Curriculum & Standards Authority as part of our online Enrichment series. Antoniett will provide an information session on the P-10 Health and Physical Education curriculum for familiarisation in 2024. The Authority has published the revised Western Australian Health and Physical Education curriculum in light of ACARA’s, version 9 curriculum. The Authority has worked with Western Australian teachers, school leaders and stakeholders to develop a contemporary curriculum that addresses the needs of a changing community. The Health and Physical Education curriculum will be mandated in 2025, however, educators are invited to learn about changes to the structure and learning area content in this year of familiarisation. Beth has been an active advocate of ACHPER for over 30 years and her contribution in the field of health and physical education through professional practice and research has and continues to support educators and all Australians to lead active and healthy lives. Beth's contribution and dedication within the area of HPE over many years makes her a truly worthy recipient of this prestigious award. Professor Hands will be leading our keynote address at our One Day HPE Conference (June 21), an excellent opportunity to see our newest life member in action. Beth will be presenting on Women’s Sport and Transgender Inclusion: The Counter Biological Argument.
