We would like to send a huge congratulations to Afghanistan War Veteran Damien Thomlinson on his project with world renowned photographer Richard Wiesel. Some of the 42 for 42 members were able to be part of this special project. A new photographic exhibition - ‘SERVICE’ by Richard Wiesel and ex- commando Damien Thomlinson was launched on the 2nd and 9th November at the Victoria Army Barracks in Sydney on and will be online through the Australian War Memorials digital collections. SERVICE is a series of portraits and interviews of our Australian Defense Force veterans that illuminates the heavy price our men and women pay when they pull on this country’s uniform. With each photograph, Richard and Damien have not only captured the visible markers of military service but also the invisible wounds carried by those who served and the loved ones of those who never returned. The exhibition is a testament of the emotional and physical odyssey of reintegration, exploring the profound personal transformations that unfold as one chapter of life concludes and another begins. The Australian War Memorial in Canberra has acquired ‘SERVICE’ as part of its digital archives, ensuring that these invaluable stories are preserved and made accessible to all Australians. Well done Damien and Richard and Thank You for the opportunity to have representatives of the 42 for 42 involved. LTGEN Susan Coyle AM, CSC, DSM John Carey Rupert McCall
