Laura I. Buchanan, PA-C

“I have always had a passion for caring for children and their families. Pediatric oncology has given me the opportunity to connect with families and build strong and trusting relationships. We see these patients 1 to 2 times per week and really get to know what motivates them to become survivors of childhood cancer.”

Buchanan is a board-certified physician assistant. She specializes in pediatric hematology and oncology (cancer and blood disorders).

She received her physician assistant training at Wake Forest University.

Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and child. They love to travel and are excited to see the world as a family. She and her husband enjoy trying out new breweries and spending time with friends and their growing families.
