The European Union policy-makers are keeping pace with these changes through key regulations: 🤖 the AI Act came into force on August 1, 2024, with swift implementation ahead to ensure safe and effective use of AI in healthcare. 🛡️ the Health Technology Assessment Regulation streamlines the evaluation and adoption of new medical technologies, ensuring they meet high standards before reaching patients. 🔬 potential revisions to the Medical Devices Regulation are underway to enhance the safety, reliability and availability of medical devices. 🌐 the forthcoming European Health Data Space will facilitate data sharing and collaboration across Europe, boosting research and patient care. 🚀Amidst these technological and regulatory developments, ESR remains at the forefront. ⭐ EUCAIM presents: #TheEUCAIMConsortium 🤝 💡 The German Oncology Center was founded by a world-renowned group of oncologists with significant prior experience at oncology centers and clinics in Germany. The group has a strong record in both basic and clinical research, focusing on the translation of research results into innovative diagnostic and therapeutic services relating to all aspects oncology. 💻 For the #EUCAIM project, GOC will play a key role by contributing to the formation and evaluation of open calls for data incorporation from external partners. They will also participate in defining use cases, providing curated clinical data, and contributing to the clinical evaluation of these use cases. Additionally, they will be involved in #benchmarking and quality control of data and tools, as well as the validation and clinical evaluation of the EUCAIM platform, offering insights from both clinical and #research perspectives.
