When public-private partnerships are established in rare disease white spots, they can transform lives. This was powerfully illustrated by Guillaume Canaud from Hôpital Necker-Enfants Malades AP-HP, who demonstrated how a strong collaboration between academia, the pharmaceutical industry, and patient groups led to the FDA approval of alpelisib for PIK3CA-related overgrowth spectrum, as presented during the ERDERA launch event.
