Apple Watch Series 10

Apple Watch Series 10 introduced bigger displays, thinner cases, and the new S10 processor to Apple's wearable lineup. The massive 46mm large model has a bigger display than the one found on Apple Watch Ultra, but has a smaller case thanks to thin bezels and rounded display edges.

There aren't any new health sensors, but Apple announced a new sleep apnea detection feature. If sleep apnea occurs, the user will be notified when they wake up.

A new speaker design allows users to play music and podcasts directly from the internal speaker. There is a new speaker grill on the side as well.

The wide angle OLED display is also improved with a higher refresh rate during always on mode. That means a seconds hand can be displayed even when the display isn't active.

Customers can order Apple Watch Series 10 in aluminum or titanium finishes. The aluminum model without cellular starts at $399 while the titanium model that includes cellular by default starts at $699.

Apple Watch Ultra

The rugged Apple Watch Ultra 2 was built with the extreme athlete and explorer in mind. It can withstand harsh conditions like arid deserts and freezing mountain peaks.

The second-generation model didn't get any new sensors or design changes. What's new in this model is the S9 SiP, the same one used in the Apple Watch Series 9.

This Apple Watch has all of the features found in Apple Watch Series 9 wrapped in a tough titanium exterior. The 49mm case is the biggest ever on an Apple Watch, and its sapphire-covered display is also the brightest at 3,000 nits.

Even if you're not going to dive 100M or endure temperatures from -20 C to 55 C, this is still a great model for large watch lovers. Take advantage of the Action Button to program an action or shortcut for instant access to any feature, or sound a loud siren to help others find you in the wilderness.

All the latest health and safety features are here too. Keep track of your heart rate during workouts, perform an ECG, track your sleep, or be notified of a possible ovulation thanks to temperature tracking.

The Apple Watch Ultra is only available in one size with either a natural titanium finish or black finish. It is priced at $799 and has three unique band options — Alpine, Trail, Ocean and black titanium milanese loop.

SE (2nd Generation)

The updated Apple Watch SE uses the S8 SiP processor, offers Crash Detection, and starts at a new, lower price. First-generation owners won't need to upgrade, but newcomers should definitely consider this updated budget model.

Since the Apple Watch Series 3 is discontinued and no longer supported by watchOS, the new Apple Watch SE is the best starting point in Apple's wearable lineup. It has the same design as the Apple Watch Series 4 and offers health sensors like heart rate and gyroscopes.

To ensure it could be priced as little as possible, Apple didn't include sensors for taking an ECG, measuring blood oxygen, or the new temperature sensor. But, it does have the latest processor and Crash Detection.

This budget model starts at $249 for the 40mm case, or $299 for the 44mm case. It comes in three colors — midnight, starlight, and silver.

Series 9

The Apple Watch Series 9 didn't get a new design or new sensors, but it has the S9 SiP with a faster CPU than previous generations. Owners of recent Apple Watch models likely won't need to upgrade, but the new features could prove useful, especially for those coming from older models.

Everything introduced in an Apple Watch is available in this model, including the temperature sensor, heart rate sensor, blood oxygen sensor, ECG, fall detection, and crash detection. The mature platform has little room for new sensors, but it did get a faster chipset.

The S9 SiP enables new features like on-device Siri and Double Tap. The new gesture enables users to control a button on the display by tapping their thumb and finger twice — which might play or pause a song or hang up a call.

The Apple Watch Series 9 was available new from $399, but is no longer sold directly by Apple. The aluminum model is available in midnight, starlight, silver, and PRODUCT(RED). Stainless steel models come in graphite, gold, and silver.

Seasonal deals
