Dr. Tanaka Yoshiki, born October 22, 1952 in Kumamoto Prefecture, Japan, is a novelist and doctor of Japanese language and literature. He is best known for his epic works, including the seven novel series Arslan Senki and the eighteen novel series Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu, both of which have anime adaptations. He is currently still writing on three other series, which have also been adapted into anime form, these include Tytania, Souryuuden and Yakushiji Ryouko no Kaiki Jikenbo.
Tanaka received the Seiun Award for Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu in 1988.
