Cast Iron

Proudly made in France, STAUB cast iron cookware possesses exceptional heat-retaining qualities, so it heats evenly throughout, making it unsurpassed for slow-cooking food to tender perfection, and for simmering hearty stews. Its textured enameled black matte interior browns food beautifully, without sticking. Classic STAUB lids are heavy weight and tight-fitting to retain moisture. Tiny spikes on their interior create a rain-forest effect, evenly returning juices back onto food.

Ceramics

The beautiful porcelain enamel glaze of STAUB ceramics prevents moisture absorption during baking, so baked goods won't dry out, and it diffuses heat gently and retains heat exceptionally well. Oven and broiler safe up to 572°F, ceramics can also be used in the microwave and are conveniently dishwasher safe. Highly scratch and impact resistant, STAUB ceramics are also freezer safe. Bake and then serve directly to table in these elegant dishes.

Tools

From spatulas and serving spoons, to tongs and trivets, STAUB tools are lovingly designed in France, offering all the quality and beauty you’ve come to expect of STAUB cast iron and ceramics. Tools that are meant to be used in hand are ergonomically contoured for the ultimate in comfort. Both practical and decorative, STAUB tools are designed to be used for everyday prep work as well as serving straight to the table.

I live this pan! It had all of the benefits of a cast iron skillet- perfect heat distribution, the ability to sear any meat, but with the added benefit of an enameled surface, so no worries about acids or tomato-based sauces! It cleans up easily, Though its dishwasher safe, i still hand wash it, and then per instructions their site, i oil the inside to keep its shiny surface. (Unlike my regular cast iron, it just needs a tiny bit of oil and it won’t rust) It’s also gorgeous! I may be retiring my 12 traditional cast iron as i no longer see a need for it...

I'm not sure how to rate this product. I've been cooking with, and loving Le Creuset for more than three decades. A few years ago, I amped up my cast irons, and added a couple of Staub. I loved that Staub had a different inside glaze, and browned gorgeously (way better than Le Creuset). This recently purchased Staub pan was placed on an electric burner that was accidentally turned on high . . . which I discovered within two minutes - only to find that the outside glaze on the bottom of the pan had melted and bonded on to the burner. After the burner cooled, I was able to dislodge the pan, but the glaze melted, and burner ring marks were left where the pan had made contact. I really want to love Staub, and, had planned to start collecting the intense blue color ( ---which is gorgeous---), but, I'm going to have to rethink this. I know that Henkel purchased Staub a couple of years ago, perhaps they've tinkered with the process.

I love my new Staub 12” Fry pan! I purchased the Pyrex 12” Staub lid and I love cooking with that setup. I season my pan with Clark’s even though it says it’s not required. This pan really sears a steak well, and it’s great for chicken, shrimp, and scallops as well. It provides such an even heat throughout the base of the pan.

It’s a bit difficult to clean sometimes, but I heard that is normal for a cast iron skillet. I have a brush meant for cast iron, but sometimes it’s not enough to get the grime off the pan, I should probably look at what else is available for cleaning.

Honestly did so much research and thought this would be a better pan. It’s supposed to be non stick without seasoning... everything sticks. Eggs, veggies, bacon, everything sticks. I’m not sure if I got a faulty one? I’m just not happy with it and feel bummed because I have heard great things about Staub

I bought this for my husband's birthday and it is amazing! We've made eggs on the stovetop and biscuits and cinnamon rolls in the oven. Heat is even and cleans up well.

I don’t like all of the bad reviews for this product... this is a top quality product. Anyone who is interested in cooking with cast iron I highly recommend doing some research on cooking with cast iron. Heat low and slow & keep it on low! Never had eggs stick!
