Cast IronProudly made in France, STAUB cast iron cookware possesses exceptional heat-retaining qualities, so it heats evenly throughout, making it unsurpassed for slow-cooking food to tender perfection, and for simmering hearty stews. Its textured enameled black matte interior browns food beautifully, without sticking. Classic STAUB lids are heavy weight and tight-fitting to retain moisture. Tiny spikes on their interior create a rain-forest effect, evenly returning juices back onto food. |
CeramicsThe beautiful porcelain enamel glaze of STAUB ceramics prevents moisture absorption during baking, so baked goods won't dry out, and it diffuses heat gently and retains heat exceptionally well. Oven and broiler safe up to 572°F, ceramics can also be used in the microwave and are conveniently dishwasher safe. Highly scratch and impact resistant, STAUB ceramics are also freezer safe. Bake and then serve directly to table in these elegant dishes. |
ToolsFrom spatulas and serving spoons, to tongs and trivets, STAUB tools are lovingly designed in France, offering all the quality and beauty you’ve come to expect of STAUB cast iron and ceramics. Tools that are meant to be used in hand are ergonomically contoured for the ultimate in comfort. Shape. “Price comparable to Willam and Sona and Sir La Table…. Who don’t have many of the pans in this Marin blue/ dark blue color.
It’s a bit difficult to clean sometimes, but I heard that is normal for a cast iron skillet. I have a brush meant for cast iron, but sometimes it’s not enough to get the grime off the pan, I should probably look at what else is available for cleaning.
