Great camera but visible light photos do not automatically download.
I really liked this camera for temperature measurements and shots. It worked great on my RV solar/battery system (cables, fuses, connections, etc.) and tracking insulation (heat loss, heat gain). It also works great for thermal based scenery (hot springs, engines, animals). The battery is a little short lived (about an hour) but that is not bad if you are aware of it. They should allow an option to save the "DC" (Direct Camera?) visible light picture at the same time you save the IR picture (maybe same name with a "_DC" extension). As it is, you have to go back, save each visible light photo one at a time and rename them. At least that was the only way the guy at the help desk knew how to do it. In the pics I loaded the IR pic of a geyser at Yellowstone and the visible pic taken by the FLIR software at the same time.

Great product! I have a ceiling that leaks when there are heavy winds and rain. I wanted to see if this would pick up the path of the leak. I think it’s coming from shotty siding on the outside above the Bay window. I have an older house (that is very well built) and felt I needed this product for preventative maintenance. (update: 19JULY2021, today we had very heavy rain and winds. The ceiling leaked overnight. I have ruled out the bay window and the outside siding. I now believe the leak is coming from a plumbing vent pipe and the wind is thrashing a damage roof boot and rain is leaking under the flashing and traveling down the pipe, because it puddles in the same area.)

This product does everything I need it to do and more. If you have moisture build-up it’s going to cause a leak. It is an expensive product, for what it is. Although extremely cool and valuable at times, it makes life easier, it’s limited to vague diagnosis. It’s never happened before through Amazon. So I thought I should mention it here.

Great product! I have a ceiling that leaks when there are heavy winds and rain. I wanted to see if this would pick up the path of the leak. I think it’s coming from shotty siding on the outside above the Bay window. I have an older house (that is very well built) and felt I needed this product for preventative maintenance. (update: 19JULY2021, today we had very heavy rain and winds. The ceiling leaked overnight. I have ruled out the bay window and the outside siding. I now believe the leak is coming from a plumbing vent pipe and the wind is thrashing a damage roof boot and rain is leaking under the flashing and traveling down the pipe, because it puddles in the same area.)

First off, the device works perfectly and does everything it promises. They were thoughtful and made the USB-C connector adjustable so it can fit even with a hard phone case, very smart. The resolution is good and it does show temperature differences, so it'll be great to use for identifying problematic circuits, air leaks or other issues as it's designed for.

The reason I deducted half a star is that I kind of wish I had bought a standalone unit instead. This thing is well built so when it's hanging off the end of my Galaxy S23 I am worried the weight is straining my phone's USB C port. You have to be a little careful not to whip it around too much or inadvertently put any pressure on it. I'm thinking having a dedicated unit while more expensive would just be a little better than using your phone for yet another feat of magic, especially if you're in an attic or outdoors where the environment isn't the best for a phone. I can't really ding the product too much for this as it's clearly sold as a phone add on and it does do what it promises, but for me I wish I had bought the dedicated unit.

One other minor issue is that in my hot climate, I am not sure this will really tell me if my outlets and fixtures are leaking hot air unless I have a significant vacuum in the house (either with a blower or because of a leaking duct pushing air into the attic which creates a draw inside. This isn't so much a shortcoming of the product, but it is how science works so it means this won't automatically tell you everything without some additional tools or work. My power company did an energy audit and hooked a blower up to the front door to pressurize the house and then used an incense stick to see if the smoke rushed into wall outlets, plumbing fixtures, etc. (it did!). For this to work the best, I think you'd need to run the blower backwards to create suction so this will see hot air rushing into the house. I need to figure that one out. Perhaps a portable AC unit with a single exhaust hose will fit the bill as those actually suck air out of the house which then causes hot outside air to be sucked into the house, which is one reason they are less efficient than window units. The dryer may help with that as well, although I don't know if either of these will move enough air to draw in from the whole house. Looks like an interesting project to try!

If you can swing getting a standalone FLIR then go for it. If you need something portable and less expensive for occasional use, this one absolutely works if you use it correctly, just be careful not to break your phone connector. It's not that likely, but it is a risk.

Ho comprato questa termocamera perché, trovandomi a ristrutturare casa, mi interessava poter vedere il corretto funzionamento degli impianti e eventuali perdite, surriscaldamenti e dispersioni di calore per ottimizzare il consumo energetico.

Questo modello di termocamera mi è piaciuto particolarmente perché non ha un proprio display il che permette di poter utilizzare il display di un qualsiasi telefono Android o iPhone, quindi anche un dispositivo più grande tipo un tablet, ed avere una visione più ampia di ciò che si sta inquadrando.

Ho escluso le termocamere con attacco USB Type-C perché perché le ho considerate un po' delicate, qualora dovesse rompersi il lo spinotto Type-C inserito sotto al telefono sarebbe veramente un problema.

La termocamera si collega al telefono tramite bluetooth, la configurazione è semplice, basta accendere la termocamera ed avviare l'app, questa vedrà subito la termocamera e chiederà di connettersi, da allora sarà possibile vedere sul dispositivo ciò che si sta riprendendo, registrare video e scattare foto che verranno memorizzati nel dispositivo in uso.

Quello che più mi è piaciuto di questa termocamera e sicuramente la sua sensibilità; l'ho provata su diversi oggetti tipo il condizionatore, il frigo, il notebook e naturalmente si vede una grossa differenza di temperatura in maniera molto evidente.
Questo per esempio mi ha fatto scoprire che il frigo disperde perché non chiude bene (colorazione blu) ma ciò che mi ha veramente sorpreso è stato quando ho inquadrato il soffitto, infatti ho potuto notare che ad agosto la temperatura delle travette era diversa da quella delle pignatte il ché suggerisce che le travette e le pignatte conducono il calore in maniera diversa questo per sottolineare la sensibilità di questo prodotto e l’utilità nel trovare eventuali ponti termici.

La fattura è buona, presenta infatti un rivestimento in gomma che la protegge da eventuali urti e la rende al contempo molto ergonomica da manovrare, e niente, come dicevo l'ho comprata usata da Amazon Warehouse ma è arrivata praticamente nuova e penso di aver fatto un buon affare

Ho contattato anche l'assistenza per alcuni dubbi che avevo e questa si è rivelata molto veloce nel rispondere
