We bought this when I was pregnant to separate our dogs from the baby car seat and it works beautifully. It’s big enough that my two big dogs can sit next to each other (50lb border collie mix and 90lb boxer mix) and they can’t sit or walk on the car seat. We just bought a second one for my husband’s truck since the first one worked so well. It keeps my seats clean and contains the pups in the backseat. What’s not to like?

Kurgo Half Hammock With Tether
I recently got a new(er) car, a Prius Prime LE with a black interior… Having an Alaskan Klee Kai, black ANYTHING is not a good choice. THESE DOGS SHED, so, FUR everywhere! This Kurgo Half Hammock with the Tether is perfect for keeping the fur OFF of the black upholstery, and providing a safe space for traveling with my little dog. I added his Kong bed and an over-the-headrest organizer for his leash, water bowl, treats, etc. He loves it, and so do I!(I will add that adjusting the straps was a bit of a challenge, but I got them sorted out.)

I would have given 5 stars until switching this from my car to the rental; the day-after-day Virginia sun must have stiffened the material the seat rest straps are made of and they basically dissintegrated. The clips themselves also became brittle over time and have since busted during the transition then out of the rental after the 3-week trek across country.
That being said, I'm actually writing this review because I'm going to buy a new one to replace my first one, but at the price point I would suggest to Kurgo to make the straps as durable as the rest of the seat and for people to only buy it if you either plan to never take it out of your car or always take it out of the car before leaving it in the sun.

Best cover I've owned, but does break down over time

First, I'll start by saying that I've owned and seen several car covers for dogs and this one by far is the best in terms of durability, water resistance, and style while accommodating human passengers when you have more than furry friends on board. I bought it almost a year ago and it lives exclusively in my back seat as at least one of our 2 dogs comes along with us or needs a ride somewhere every day. I recently also moved it from my main car (Hyundai Elantra) to a rental (Toyota 4Runner) that I took cross county with and it was game changing for keeping the car clean despite lots of hair, muddy paws, and MESSY meals (think yogurt everywhere...). My main car is a bit small for it but it does work exactly as designed, and the Toyota rental was the perfect width except the elastic bands that were designed to go around the seat bottom to keep it in place didn't work with the hinges on the bench that allow you to fold the seats out. In both cars though, the seat belt holes are wide enough to accommodate both car sizes and seat belt placements and the velcro kept the mess from sliding down onto the seat you're trying to protect.Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2023

The cover was made with good material, however, the bottom lacks support. My dog would at times slip off the seat, while it's a hammock, it made him uncomfortable.I understand it's a hammock and it hovers, it was tightened, but once my 65 lb dog is in it, it loosens and is on the car seat. And at first he was extremely uncomfortable in it, he was only finally sleeping in it after 4 hours of running.
Overall the product does it's job, but would be better if there is a bottom support.
