As a nutritionist and 'olive oil lover' living in Spain, I found this book to be of immense value. The balance between sound nutritional information and a writing style that everyone can easily absorb, allows the reader to fully understand the key components to the centuries old Mediterranean diet and lifestyle.
The Olive Oil Diet makes for a great addition to anyone wanting to integrate olive oil into their everyday rituals, whether it be cooking, nutritional supplementation or even skin care.
I really appreciate the vital information about how olive oil is properly produced, what to look for on the label, what 'First Cold Pressed' really means, and nutritional information on the different types of olives and their oil.
Happy to give it 5 stars.

Book was described as in near new condition, but I was disappointed to see that the pages are really yellowed which makes the book look really old (not new), even though it was in good condition.

If every government leader would read this book and insist we promote the Olive Oil Diet implementation, disease and premature death/the cost of health care would be drastically reduced. Good food should be celebrated and it should promote joy and good health.

All recipes are in metric units so it is useless in the United States.

I have learnt loads from this book. I knew olive oil was good for you, but had no idea just how good. This book has helped me to fully understand the benefits. I love the recipes too. Highly recommend it.

I found this book to be well written and easy to read. It provides the reader with information about why olive oil is such an interesting food and offers a persuasive insight into why incorporating olive oil into your diet and lifestyle is so beneficial to our health. Experts in their fields Judy Ridgway and Dr Simon Poole are well qualified to write this book. It covers everything from chemical analysis, the different olive varieties, the various tastes and flavours available to us as consumers and lots more! The book also gives the reader great ideas which go towards helping to make it easy to incorporate olive oil into everyday meal routines. It also provides them with the tools to choose a good olive oil full of health benefits. It’s jam packed with great recipes too. I really enjoyed it and it’s already become my ‘go to’ book whenever I have a question on olive oil or need a recipe idea
