This bar muddler is great quality and makes a stylish addition to any barware collection. It has a nice sleek design with a stainless steel body and a nicely grooved muddler tip. It is sturdy enough for even hardier fruits and vegetables or spices. I use a muddler for delicious fruity drinks and making guacamole and a good muddler is key for bringing out the best flavor and oils. The muddler stick is about 8 inches long so it's an easy fit even in shakers or taller glasses. It helps to use lighter pressure and a slight twist when muddling herbs and fruit to ease the juice from it. Place a few pieces of watermelon and honeydew in a glass with a mint leave or two and muddle gently. Add a little ice and water or liquor of your choice and you have a delicious refreshing summer drink! You can really taste a difference from just smashing your ingredients and when you use a proper muddler. It's easily cleaned with warm soapy water and won't rust over time. I love mine. I did receive this muddler stick complimentary for testing and evaluation purposes but my review is solely based on my experience and honest opinions after using.

    I picked this up to muddle orange peel and cherries to perfect my Wisconsin Old Fashions. Very durable, it feels very sturdy and ergonomic in your hand. Muddles perfectly to get that extra fresh flavor in your drinks. If you don't know what a muddler does it basically is like taking a maraschino cherry and cutting it into many little pieces, releasing more flavor in the process. Cleans very easily and looks very attractive next to my other barware. Also great for starting conversations when people ask what you are doing when making the a tasty Old Fashioned.

    Recently I was on a cruise ship and spent afternoons by the pool bar. Watching the bartender make some of the best margaritas I ever had, I quickly picked up on his "method". He would take 3 slices of lime and first muddle them in the mixing glass very thoroughly. Then he added the regular ingredients and shook really hard and poured over ice. The muddled limes added a very distinct flavor and so I bought yours so that I could duplicate the taste. Your muddler is very high quality and I am pleased with its ability to easily muddle my limes for my margaritas. I have also experimented with lemon and orange and the flavors extracted are wonderful.

Muddlers don't have to be about alcohol. They make great drinks with just lime sugar cubes and mint and soda water. Kids love to muddle their drinks and use a third sugar they would in soft drinks or juice.
