Payments

• Payments for electronic communications market supervision. Undertakings that offer public communication networks and/or services are required to make an annual payment for the supervision of the electronic communications market by AKEP. This payment should not exceed 0.5% of the annual revenue in the previous calendar year and should be made within April 30 of each year.
• Payment for frequency allocation and usage.
• Payment for number and numerical series allocation and usage.
• Payment for universal service financing. This fund was created to compensate for the universal service costs, which will be managed and administered by AKEP. This fund was created by undertakings that own public electronic communications networks and deliver public electronic communications services and by public electronic communications service providers in the territory of the Republic of Albania, pursuant to the regulation of AKEP.
• Payment for the radiocommunication service tariff. Pursuant to Law No.9975, dated 28.07.2008 “On National Taxes”, and Ministry of Finance and AKEP Joint Instruction No.30, dated 23.12.2014, “On Determining the Radiocommunication Service Tariff”, as amended, AKEP is a tax agent for calculating, collecting, and transferring the radiocommunication service tariff to the State Budget.
