My first time at PropTech Connect and I have to say it’s jam packed full of bleeding edge innovation! Lots of talk about data from buildings but what do we do with all this data we are collecting? One option is to create a Cognative Digital Twin using PARA bringing data visualisation & clarity to optimise the built environment! I had the pleasure of meeting Faysal Shair Managing Director of Para who are part of Sidara family, to hear first hand about this amazing new solution! What I like about Para is not only does it provide stunning visualisation through its 3d graphics but it also provides actionable recommendations & and has the ability to read/write back to the subsystems on premise making it a very powerful tool indeed! Sidara core values are about collaboration and we are proud to work with them as our valued customer and technology partner. One of the outcomes of this unique relationship is that Para is powered by Building Data Platform by Schneider Electric which acts as the data aggregator agnostically collecting points from all subsystems which control & monitor the building. With so many different subsystems holding the data that we need at the top of the enterprise layer BDP can really help to normalise and present information in a universal format making it easy for apps, analytics and digital twin platforms to use it how they wish! Really enjoyed our #ProptechConnect #SmartBuildingShowcase panel discussion today on ‘The Journey to Smart’. Thanks to my fellow presenters Lisa Kenny Mohammad Rashid and Tom Hammond.who discussed the vision for #150Holborn, the challenges we each faced and lessons learnt. The importance of data, partnerships and an agile approach are my key takeaways that I’d share.
