Former Olympian and “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star Bruce Jenner has been hit with a wrongful death lawsuit, stemming from a crash that left one woman dead in February.

The suit, filed by Dana Redmond and William Howe, the stepchildren of victim Kim Howe, claims that Jenner was “careless and negligent.”

According to the complaint, Jenner’s car hit Howe’s Lexus, pushing it into oncoming traffic.

Howe died after her car collided with a Hummer after being hit by Jenner.

As reported in February, footage of the crash captured by a camera attached to an MTA bus reportedly showed Jenner’s Escalade hitting Howe’s Lexus on the Pacific Coast Highway, then hitting a Prius. Earlier accounts indicated that the Prius had stopped suddenly, causing the Lexus to strike it, after which Jenner’s vehicle struck the Lexus, pushing it into oncoming traffic.

The suit, which also lists 50 anonymous defendants, reads, “The defendants and each of them were also otherwise careless, negligent and/or otherwise responsible in causing the death of of decedent and damage to her effects,” adding that Howe’s death “caused plaintiffs to suffer enormous damages and losses.”

In a statement to TheWrap, Jeffrey Wolf and John Sheehan, the attorneys representing Redmond and Howe, respectively, said that the suit is an effort “to bring the truth to light and seek justice for Ms. Howe.”

“Kim Howe was the step-mother to Dana Redmond and William Howe for approximately 40 years.  Even after their father’s death ten years ago, Dana and William continued to have a close relationship with Ms. Howe,” the statement reads. “So far, no one has accepted responsibility for the collision that resulted in Ms. Howe’s death.  Her children feel an obligation to bring the truth to light and seek justice for Ms. Howe.  This lawsuit is the only tool at their disposal that gives them the ability to do so.”

In recent days, the 65-year-old Jenner has dominated headlines with his announcement that he’s transitioning from a man to a woman.

A spokesman for Jenner has not yet responded to TheWrap’s request for comment.

The suit, filed in Los Angeles Superior Court on Friday, seeks unspecified damages.
