Pool Party!

Here it is the end of June and no pool in sight. But I didn't let that stop me from creating an indoor pool party. I've had one before, but this time it started indoors and ended up outside. With so many pools closed, it's time to get creative, right?

I'm back to scotcharoos.  I can't stop making them, I hope you don't mind.  It's one of the easiest no bake desserts, not to mention one of my favorite desserts.  While you've all probably had a Scotcharoo bar and possible made the Scotcharoo Birthday Bars, I have another version, just in case you're not celebrating a birthday... you're celebrating summer!

Buffet and Beverages!

Ahhh, the lazy days of summer, where are you?  Lately, my days have been anything but lazy, it was so nice to lounge around the "Pool" and soak up the sun.  All that relaxing made me hungry, I'm now ready to take a trip to the buffet.

While having so much fun diving in my stash of pool toys, I found little swim rings to use at the buffet.  Adding a blue tinsel table skirt to the wall, with beach ball lanterns lighting the way, I created my buffet.

Normally, one would not have a pool party without a pool, right?  Well, I've always wanted to have a pool to lounge and party around...I might even go a bit crazy to think I'd actually jump in.  Only it looks like a pool is not in my future, so I'm going to show you how to have a "Pool-less" Pool Party!

There are two kinds of people, pool people and beach people.  Which are you?  I would say, in a perfect world I would be lying by the pool looking out over the ocean.  I like to keep things nice and tidy by the pool, no sand on my towel or stuck to my feet.  At the same time, looking out at the never ending ocean is so peaceful and entertaining.

Today I'm bringing a little sand into the kitchen, so to speak, with my version of a sand castle cake and cake balls.
