NOTES
Several versions of the "Flower" single were released, a 12" backed w/ Halloween and various 7"s with alternate versions. Some sources cite January '86 as release date, others '85, which I tend to believe more, given Claude Bessy's spiel regarding Rough Trade's discontent over the artwork on "The Walls Have Ears", recorded in October 1985.
Flower/Halloween 12": Flower & Halloween recorded at Radio Tokyo in Los Angeles, 1985. Both were later included on the Bad Moon Rising CD. A slightly different mix of Halloween was used on the CD.
Flower (Anti-Fuckword Radio Edit)/Rewolf 7": The Anti-Fuckword Radio Edit has a loud, obnoxious "beep" over all instances of the word "fuck". Rewolf is literally Flower backwards. Etching reads "We fucked the DJ's daughter" Some copies apparently came w/ a badge.
Flower/Satan Is Boring (Supermix) 12": Flower is regular version, Satan is Boring (supermix) is an combination of two extended sprawling live versions, the left speaker taken from 4/2/85 Rotterdam, Holland and the right speaker taken from 4/26/85 Aylesbury, UK. Sonic Youth were apparently not pleased w/ this b-side and pulled this version of the single.
Xerox of topless woman (taken from a calendar, used in Thurston's "KILLER" zine) on the cover was cause of much irritation at Rough Trade (see the track "C.B." on "Walls Have Ears" for further info).
Flower/Halloween Etchings (Homestead):
- Side 1: "Flowers"
- Side 2: "Halloween!!"
Flower/Halloween Etchings (Blast First):
- Side 1: "To Cody R and all sonic suns"
- Side 2: "I am the boy who can enjoy invisibility - J.J."
Latter quote is James Joyce from "A Portrait Of The Artist As A Young Man" (line also appeared in "Secret Girl").
Flower/Satan Is Boring Etchings:
- Side 1: "To Cody R and all sonic suns"
- Side 2: "Noise Glorious The Sonic Soul Love Brian"

INFO NEEDED FOR THIS RELEASE
I couldn't get the Halloween side of the cover to scan w/ the text visible, so if somebody could provide me w/ a better shot of it, that'd be nice. Also need scans of remaining artwork for Fuckword + Satan versions.
Anybody know the specific release date?
Please write me w/ anything that's missing!
