We provide multi-year support to national organizations working across issue areas. These nonprofits partner strategically with each other and with allies to advance the collective good of our society and fight for those most impacted.
We allocate a portion of our budget for a flexible, responsive approach.
We provide short-term funding to respond to opportunities that create positive change in our systems, policies and laws. We plan one-to-three year investment horizons depending on the need, and targets will shift and evolve as the issues and opportunities do.
We also provide immediate funding to support communities in crisis and to mitigate impacts of injustice.
Our current and past areas of focus:
Solidarity Giving was launched in 2016 to support and defend America’s civic values. It distributes approximately $10M annually in flexible funding to organizations that advance social justice while centering Black, Indigenous, people of color, immigrants, women and families, and people experiencing poverty. Solidarity Giving is part of the Wildcard Giving Family and complements the work of its two sister organizations, Sunlight Giving and Acton Family Giving.
Solidarity Giving is a donor advised fund held at Fidelity Charitable and has a balance of approximately $300M. The Actons are committed to giving a minimum of 5% yearly across all of their philanthropic entities.
