The learners will be able to know the meaning of computer
files and file format.
The students will be able to identify the different file format
in Windows Operating System.
In connection to teaching, the lesson will provide the
teacher with additional knowledge in computer.
Identifying file format or file types can serve as an
in identifying computer viruses.
COMPUTER FILE FORMAT
A file format is the structure of how information is stored
(encoded) in a computer file. File formats are designed to store
specific types of information, such as JPEG and TIFF for image or
raster data, AI (Adobe Illustrator) for vector data, or PDF for
document exchange.
COMPUTER FILE EXTENSION
A file extension or file name extension is the ending of a file
that helps identify the type of file in operating systems such
as Microsoft Windows. In Microsoft Windows, the file name
extension is a period that is often followed by three
characters, but may also be one, two, or four characters long.
