“Jingle Bell Rock” is a popular song best known as a recording by American country singer Bobby Helms that he made during the Christmas season 1957. The authors of the song are Joseph Carleton Beal and James Ross Boothe. “Jingle Bell Rock” was extremely popular composition in the U.S. being regularly aired at the radio stations around the holiday. Although there were quite a few interpretations of the song, Helms’ version is the most famous. Technically, it is an extension (in lyrics) of the well-known Christmas carol “Jingle Bells” by James Pierpont, and it also uses some of other pop songs like “Rock Around the Clock” by Freedman and Myers. The Christmas rock and roll piece that was born as a result got many likes from the audience and twice charted high on the Billboard Hot 100, as well as on Pop and Country music charts. To date, it stays one of the best-selling Christmas singles ever. Among other artists who recorded this standard were George Strait, Aaron Tippin, Rascal Flatts, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert and Hall & Oates.
