Making Christmas Crackers.

What this shows is the grueling, repetitive process to make an item for children at Christmas. Take this ten minute and multiply it by hundreds of hours and endless days. There are several steps to making these things and each worker has a single job in this process. They are skilled at what they do, but think of the physical stress. When one angers over automation, that there are machines that do so much of the repetitive work these days, imagine yourself in one of these factories. Most likely, these were jobs hung onto by people of little skill or education, just trying to make ends meet. The quality of the film is quite good and shows us the way things were in 1910.
