The final episode and you get a feeling few of the original squadron members will survive.

Those you thought were bulletproof were not so. Bad luck Flash.

Fritz has disappeared and the flyers are unnerved as his wife comes by each day hoping he will return.

It is left to Moggy to pack her off in his inimitable charming way.

Only Moggy seemed to have a character even if it was an unlikeable one. When he bails out in this episode, his plane crashes into several homes leaving dead the occupants. Moggy does not care and it seems neither do his superiors.

Piece of Cake ends with the RAF facing its darkest hour. It was also a turning point in the aerial battle. The Germans gave it their all and the allies survived, lived to fly another day.

It was just a shame that the characters were so indistinguishable. Like Uncle, I had difficulty knowing who was who.
