Fiddler on the Hoof Episode 2

Budgie continues his escapades with his family. He needs to get his sister Vi back together with drippy Tony who works in a jewellers.

It gives Budgie an idea to substitute some real pearls with some fake ones that he ended up with from Lady Maisie.

It is just a case of whether Tony has the bottle to do the job and not feel guilty. There is also the case of getting to the church on time so Tony can marry Vi.

This episode sees the introduction of Norman Rossington as Zip. He is an ex con friend of Budgie. He comes to stay at Budgie's mother's house and pretty much takes over. Budgie's dad has a job in getting Zip to zip his mouth at the reception.

I do think Charlie Endell was missed as the show concentrated on Budgie's domestic life. Once again Budgie ends up a loser when it comes to his scams. At least he managed to keep his sister happy.
