Genna Chanelle Hayes is a purpose-driven Australian filmmaker and actress, currently working across Australia, West Africa, Southeast Asia and the United Kingdom. As a filmmaker, her stories centre around culture and connection and lean heavily into human rights issues. She is most known for her ARIA, AACTA, ASIN, ACS and ADG nominated West African Australian (narrative drama) directorial debut, AKONI (2022). As an actress, she has worked on the highly acclaimed Australian television drama Rake (2013), horror film Charlie's Farm (2014) and Venezuelan thriller Infeccion (2018). She is also the founder and CEO of production and distribution companies, One Love Films and One World Creative.
Increasingly, Genna Chanelle is known for her global humanitarian work alongside local and international NGOs.
