Alicia Maccarone, Production Designer and film maker known for working on some of the most innovative feature films and television series in the film Industry. Her latest work includes the Avant Guard Rafael Casal and Daveed Diggs Blindspotting, Shonda Rhimes Station 19, and the action charged US Navy show, The Last Ship by Michael Bay. She was part of the creative team of the award-winning HBO miniseries The Pacific (Tom Hanks, Playtone Productions). She also designed the feature films Tortilla Soup and Lies in Plain Sight, where she explored the intimate world of the Los Angeles Latin culture. Other production design credits include the TV show, Cagney and Lacey, Beverly Hills 90210. As supervising Art Director, she worked with the Academy Award winning production designer Rick Carter, in the ground-breaking feature film The Polar Express. This project directed by Bob Zemeckis was the first film shot completely utilizing "performance capture" technology. She also partnered with Marek Dobrowolski in the TV show Terminator: The Sarah Connors Chronicles, which ventured into a timeless science fiction world. They worked together in the feature film The Craigslist Killer and TV pilot Birddog. Also, she worked in the films, Castaway, What Lies Beneath, Superbad, among others. Alicia Maccarone began her career as a designer in her native Buenos Aires where she art directed her first feature film Naked Tango, production designed by award winning designer, Anthony Pratt and Tom Sanders. She moved to Los Angeles in 1990 and continued her career in Film, Television, Commercials, and Theater. Alicia attended Architecture School in Buenos Aires (UBA), with a degree in Architecture. She lives in Los Angeles.
