I have a rash under both of my eyes that comes and goes as it feels like. it has been with me for a long time now and i have never really done anything about it as it normally goes away for a while and i wasnt that bothered. but lately it seems to be getn worse and ive tried 345 and eurcerine cream and it hasnt really helped. i would love to know if ye have any ideas what it my be. on a good day it is only about 3% visible but on a bad day it can be 70% and very red (sometimes i can even feel it). when its really bad things like sport and hot showers do not help it one bit and just make it worse. i have really no idea what it is and i dont thin i'm alergic to anything. i have attached a picture of how it looks today. this is a pretty normal day of late (not really bad or good)..
thanks for listening and i look forward to hearing from you.
Try coconut oil.
Find it at your local health food store.
It's inexpensive and i've heard stories of people who have actually successfully treated rosacea with it.
I also have a friend (in his late 70's) who had all sorts of rashes and red blotches on his face.
The docs gave him prescription ointment and it didn't work.
I sent him a jar of coconut oil and within a very short period of time his skin conditions clear up.
He uses it regularly now and doesn't have the issues any more.
It won't hurt to try.
And coconut oil has all sort of other healing properties and is very good for the skin in general.
Also, if your using a regular soap (like the kind you find at the drug store) on your face, i recommend stopping that.
You could be allergic to it.
If you use soap on your face, find a hypoallergenic product.

What do you do for a living and/or are you exposed to any type of chemicals that would possibly emit a "pitch" or a vapor? Roofing supplies, driveway sealers, that sort of thing? What you've got really looks and sounds like a pitch rash to me. I used to get them from spraying coal tar. The fact that you're pale skinned would intensify your reactions to any sort of pitch.

^ I'd say this is good advice here.
I had some sort of rash/infection (dry, red, burning, itching) on my lower lids not too long ago. I started treating the area with shea butter and it cleared right up.
thanks guys.. i appreciate the advice.. went to the doctor today anyway just to be on da safe side.. he said its more than likely seborrhoeic dermatitis (try saying that 10 times!!) for adults.. i got cream and shampoo so i will start using it now and hopefully see results.. if not i will deffo try the cocunut oil as it sounds like a good idea.. work indoors so it cant be toxic or anythn like that but thanks for asking anyway..
I am not a doctor and I don't want to be an alarmist, but if you find that you have any other newish/odd symptoms either now or in the future, you may want to look at the symptoms of lupus. One is a 'butterfly' rash below the eyes and across the nose.
Lupus is hard to diagnose because many of its symptoms mimic those of other disorders. So it's not uncommon that doctors treat individual symptoms over long periods of time without seeing the big picture; not their fault, because again, lupus can look like so many other conditions---or none at all.
I sincerely hope you do not have lupus, and odds are that you probably don't. But I just thought I'd throw this out there, for you and maybe others to tuck away for later, just in case you or someone you know should start to experience seemingly random and unrelated health problems.
I was curious if you ever found out what was causing the rash and if the treatment actually worked? I have the same recurring problem. Any help would be great!
Did anything work for you? I have had the same symptoms over the past counple years and mine is starting to get worse also.
