Authorities are searching for three women who escaped from the Pima County jail this afternoon.
Jennifer Kay Bachie, Jessica Lynn Hubble and Katrina Francine Ochoa, are being sought after they managed to make their way out of the jail around 2:15 p.m., said Sgt. James Ogden, a Pima County Sheriff’s Department spokesman.
The women, along with about seven others, were working in the commissary at the time, Ogden said. When jail officials did a head count, they realized that three inmates were missing.
There is a loading dock in the back of the commissary that leads to the parking lot, Ogden said. It is believed that they slipped out through the loading dock.
Corrections officers found jail clothing in the parking lot and the women have yet to be located.
Bachie, 28, was booked into jail Jan. 6 on a failure to appear charge for possession of marijuana, Ogden said. She is 5 feet, 1 inches tall, weighs 150 pounds and has brown hair and blue eyes.
