J.Lo, Cris Judd File for Divorce

After less than one year of marriage and having been separated since June 2, Jennifer Lopez filed for divorce on Thursday from her husband, Cris Judd, 33. According to papers filed in Los Angeles Superior Court, the singer-actress, who turned 32 on Wednesday, cited irreconcilable differences. Reuters reports that attorneys for both parties said that a financial settlement agreement had been reached, though details were not disclosed. “Jennifer Lopez and Cris Judd have announced they have resolved all issues arising out of their marriage. The resolution was extremely amicable . . . The two will remain friends,” said the lawyers’ statement. The couple, who had met while working on Lopez’s music video “Love Don’t Cost a Thing,” had been wed in a non-denominational ceremony last September at a private residence in Calabasas, Calif., attended by about 170 guests, J.Lo’s spokesman, Alan Nierob, said at the time. “It was beautiful. The couple couldn’t be happier,” he remarked. It was the first marriage for Judd, 33, and Lopez’s second; her previous one-year marriage, to male model Ojani Noa, ended in divorce in 1998. After that she was linked to hip-hop mogul Sean ‘P. Diddy’ Combs, and of late has reportedly been keeping company with Ben Affleck, 29, who costars with her in the upcoming movie, “Gigli.”
